The Way Out...

"He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him."--2 Corinthians 5:21.  Paul, writing to the the church in Corinth reminding them of what God accomplished through Christ. Paul tells them in 2 Corinthians 5:17 that "if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature" and that the old has passed away and new things have come. Because God has given us the way out from under our sins, we need to be reconciled to Him.

The way out.  I think we are all familiar with EXIT signs such as the one pictured above.  These signs are usually required by law to indicate exit points of a building in case of emergency.  They are usually well lit so they are hard to miss.  At the same time, they are not usually noticed because there is no real emergency going on and we are not looking for the way out.

But we live in a world that has an emergency of a different sort.  A sin emergency. As a result, many people are looking for the EXIT sign. They are looking for the way out.  Problem is the world we live in is telling us there are several EXIT's to get out of our sin emergency.  2 Corinthians 5 is clear that Christ is the way out. Have we forgotten the words of Jesus in John 14:6 that He is THE WAY, the truth and the life?  God gave Christ not as one way out, but as THE ONE AND ONLY WAY OUT from our sin emergency.

If we ignore the EXIT sign indicating the way out in an emergency, we put our life in danger.  If we ignore Jesus, the way out of destruction for our sins, we put our souls in danger. The key is being in Christ. Click the link to see what that means. If you are in Christ but have somehow stepped out of Christ, it's not too late to come back. DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! PRAY ABOUT IT! LOVE Y'ALL! GOD BLESS!
