How can we escape?

"How will we escape if we neglect so great a salvation?..."--Hebrews 2:3.  The Hebrew writer describing what will happen if we fail to pay attention to what we have heard and what has been confirmed (Hebrews 2:1-4).  Every evidence has been given that Christ is in fact the Messiah now it is up to us to listen and if we don't our transgression receives a just penalty.  If we ignore what has been said and confirmed about what Christ has to say, how can we escape?

How can we escape?  There is no way we can escape God's judgment if we ignore what has been said about Christ.

How can we escape? We cannot escape if we ignore the fact that Christ was wounded for our transgressions. (Isaiah 53:5)

How can we escape?  We cannot escape if we ignore the fact that Jesus is the Bread of Life (John 6:35)

How can we escape? We can escape if we believe in Jesus so that we will not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16)

How can we escape?  We can escape if we pay attention to that which is most important; that Christ died for our sins, was buried and raised again on the third day according to the Scriptures (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) and this is the core of the gospel message.

How can we escape?  We can escape if we obey the gospel message by being baptized into Christ (Romans 6:3-5.

How can we escape? By remembering that which was spoken beforehand by the holy prophets and the commandment of the Lord and Savior spoken by the apostles (2 Peter 3:2).

Finally repeating what was said in our initial passage, how will we escape if we neglect so great a salvation? No practical application here except to encourage you to remind others to remember what has been said about Christ and to heed what He has commanded us to do which is to carry this message out making disciples, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit AND teaching them to obey everything that He has commanded and lo He is with always even to the end of the age. (Matthew 28:18-20)

DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! PRAY ABOUT IT! LOVE Y'ALL! GOD BLESS!
