The last days...

"God...In these last days has spoken to us in His Son..."--Hebrews 1:1-2.  The author of Hebrews is unknown.  Therefore, the author of this book is referred to simply as 'the Hebrew writer.'  Hebrews was written to a group of Jewish Christians who were contemplating going back to the old system of the Mosaic law.  Hebrews opens with the fact that in the past God spoke to us by way of the prophets such as Moses, Isaiah and others.  But now God speaks to us through His Son.  The Hebrew writer also acknowledges something else that it is in these "last days" that God has spoken to us through Christ.

The last days.  Many people today make a big deal out of the last days.  Most recently we had people who were claiming that these were in fact the last days and that the world would end on May 21st. If you are reading this right now, you know that event did not occur.

The last days.  Just because the world did not end on May 21st however, does not mean we are not in the last days.  We know we are in the last days because God has spoken to us through Christ.

The last days. My purpose tonight is not to be like others who have gone before to make some grand prediction about when the world is going to end and when God is going to come back.

The last days.  What I do know is that since God has now spoken to us through Christ is that we are in the last days and that His return is soon.  So we have to ask ourselves the question 'If the Lord were to come right now would we know for sure that we would go to heaven?'

The last days.  Since we are in the last days we need to be sure we are ready for the Lord's return.  If you are  unsure about whether or not you are ready, you can click this link for more information on how you can know for sure that you are ready.

The last days.  We need to realize that it is obedience to what Christ has said in these last days and the grace of God that will allow us to spend eternity with Him if He comes today, tomorrow or at any time during these last days. Are you ready?

DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! PRAY ABOUT IT! LOVE Y'ALL! GOD BLESS!
